Pan Fry / Skillet

    1. Thaw frozen ground beef in refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
    2. Preheat frying pan to medium heat.  
    3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to coat the frying pan surface.
    4. Add ground beef and sear on both sides for 1-2 minutes.
    5. Once both sides have been seared, use a spatula to break apart the ground beef and spread around frying pan.
    6. Continue to stir ground beef until all pink has disappeared. Flipping once more.
    7. Use an instant read thermometer to make sure meat has reached an internal temperature of 160 F.

Grill

    1. Thaw frozen ground beef in refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
    2. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
    3. Work ground beef into 1/2 thick patties. Do not overwork ground beef.
    4. Push your thumb into the center of patties to form an indentation, prevents patties from bloating while cooking.
    5. Lightly oil grate.
    6. Place patties on grill and cook 4-5 minutes per side.
    7. Use an instant read thermometer to make sure meat has reached an internal temperature of 160 F.

USDA recommends cooking ground meats to an internal temperature of 160 F.
